Cheshire Telecom was founded in 2014 to deliver excellent customer service and high-quality business solutions to the tenants of Taylor Business Park. In 2025, we joined the labdesk group — the natural next step.

Our story.

Cheshire Telecom was founded on 22nd August 2014 with a clear goal: provide excellent customer service and high-quality business communications solutions to the tenants of Taylor Business Park in Warrington.

From there, the business grew steadily — working alongside many trusted partners, expanding across the North West, and developing a specialism in serving business parks and multi-tenant sites where reliable connectivity and telephony are non-negotiable.

Why we joined labdesk.

labdesk had been a technical partner to Cheshire Telecom for years before the acquisition. The two businesses share customers, share values, and crucially share a focus on getting technology right for innovative teams across science, clean energy, business parks and beyond.

Joining the labdesk group means our customers get access to a much wider portfolio of services — managed IT, Microsoft 365 and Copilot, cyber security, Cyber Essentials certification, HubSpot and CRM, AI readiness — without giving up the local relationships and personal service that defined Cheshire Telecom from day one.

Cheshire Telecom directors Paul Taylor and Mike O'Halloran remain involved with labdesk as Non-Executive Directors, ensuring continuity for existing customers and bringing their industry experience to the wider group's plans.

For the day-to-day, nothing changes for our customers — except more options, faster response times, and the depth of a much larger expert team standing behind every service.
